Concept – what is your idea?
For my photo shoot I plan to make a poster for an upcoming War Film set during WW2 on the western front featuring two main characters (protagonist and antagonist) from both sides of the war.
Write a description of what you intend to do for your photoshoot.
For my photo shoot I intend to design around 7 to 8 final edited images to promote this film. To do this I'll be taking images of models with the appropriate uniforms and weapon in a suitable location e.g a forest
What will the theme be for your photography shoot?
To give my images a focus I'll be basing them of themes that are appropriate for the genre but also those that have been used in many other similar films. These themes include Combat, War, Cold, Darkness, Violence, Death, stillness, battle and also bear a historical aspect.
What will your subject matter be?
My subject matter will be about war and the individuals involved in combat on the western front of WW2.
Will it be a studio location or outside?
All the shots I take will feature in an outside location local to myself and my actors.
How will you ensure that the images you take will match with the media product you are promoting?
To ensure my images are fit for purpose I'm going to use props and clothing that are historically accurate so to relate to the WW2 aspect, the location I'm going to use also shows where the 'film' is set. With this content involved I hope to represent the brand product I'm promoting, a WW2 film. I'm also going to stick with a house style that relates to the genre but is also consistent with regards to text and colour grading.
